I’m feeling a little sad today because I have so few
cohesive memories of my early childhood.
Much as I’d like to be able to construct a story from my early years, my
mind seems to hold only snapshots. I’m
hoping that as I write things, I’ll begin to remember more.
I have only one memory of my life from infancy: in Mom's arms, in the rocking chair, she was singing, "Over the Rainbow" to me.

I think you'll find that you are right. The more you write down the more you will remember. I noticed that worked for me when I did the FHWC last year. I also think it is important to write down even the vague memories, if nothing else so that you will have those. And perhaps reading back over them will lead to more memories. Good luck!
