October Blog Party – Strange

I feel left out this month.

Elizabeth O’Neal’s October Blog Party asks about the strangest thing we’ve found in our genealogy research.  But my family research has found only typical, everyday kind of folks.  No witches or wizards. Scandals have been minor.  Very unexciting.  Poor me.

So the best I can do to contribute in the spirit of strangeness and Halloween is the image below.  It is a Google Street View image as shown on Your Daily Dish.

  1. Mary, This picture certainly fits the October "strange" theme - it's rather creepy looking!

    1. Thanks for your comment, Linda. The pic startled me at first glance. It would be fun to come up with captions for it.

  2. Ha! That is creepy for sure! Don't feel alone, I am at a loss on this theme too. I am feeling like I need to shake my tree a lot harder, something scary is bound to fall out right?! :)

    1. It sure would be interesting to find a black sheep somewhere in the past. The things that were scandalous to earlier generations seem relatively minor today.

  3. Looks like clean up after a wild Halloween party! Coming upon that at night with a flashlight would be quite shocking!
